After four decades, Sanders is offering Peanut Brittle again
Clinton Township, Mich., November 22, 2016 – Sanders recently announced its new Peanut Brittle is available for national retail sale, and can be purchased in Sanders Retail Shoppes or online at www.sanderscandy.com.Sanders Peanut Brittle was last made in 1974 at the old Sanders Plant in Highland Park, Michigan. After being flooded with requests from long-time fans, Sanders decided to bring back this timeless candy.
“The demand for new and classic Sanders products is greater than ever and customers are asking us to bring back some of their old favorites, said Walter Pilon, Sanders and Morley Candy Makers Senior Account Executive. “We are proud to once again offer such a popular item. The new peanut brittle is a great addition to our expanding line of snack items.”
Sanders’ new peanut brittle is made using real sugar and real butter, along with fresh peanuts to give it a classic nutty and buttery flavor. It is also hand crafted to deliver a more unique bite than other peanut brittles.
“When we set out to offer a peanut brittle we wanted it to be better and different than what is available from most candy makers today,” said Brian Jefferson, Chairman & CEO of Sanders & Morley Candy Makers. “This peanut brittle is perfectly cooked to the hard-crack stage making it more thin and crunchy than typical peanut brittles.”
Sanders Peanut Brittle is available in a 4-ounce self-standing box at a suggested retail price of $5.99, with an introductory price of $4.99 at sanderscandy.com and in Metro Detroit Sanders Chocolate & Ice Cream Shoppes.
