Sanders closes Birmingham store, begins search for new location
Sanders and Morley Candy Makers announced today that its store in Birmingham is closed and the company is seeking a new location to better serve its patrons.

“We like the Birmingham area and will certainly miss those people who visit this particular store on a regular basis,” said Brian Jefferson, Chairman and CEO of Sanders and Morley Candy Makers. “However, we must continue to focus on offering our customers the best experience possible. There are certain issues with this location that prevented us from accomplishing that goal.”
With its ongoing rapid growth and plans to open a new store in the future, Sanders is looking forward to keeping as many dedicated employees as possible from its Birmingham location.
“We appreciate the efforts of those employees who continued to offer great service to customers every day until we closed this shoppe,” Jefferson said. “We definitely don’t want to see valuable people like that leave our company so we made it a priority to offer them other positions to help us keep up with increased demand.”
While the company carefully considers where its next store will be located, its local supporters can still visit other Sanders Chocolate & Ice Cream Shoppes located in Clinton Township, Livonia, Novi, Rochester, Saint Clair Shores and Grosse Pointe. Three licensed stores also exist – one in Wyandotte and two on Mackinac Island.
