Sanders Historic Bumpy™ Cake Line Adds Mini Version

Clinton Township, Mich., April 2, 2015 – Sanders announced today that a miniature version of its famous Chocolate Fudge Bumpy™ Cake is now part of the company’s rapidly growing line of baked goods.

Families have enjoyed Original Bumpy™ Cake for more than 100 years, but during that span of time average household sizes have shrunk significantly. After recognizing this change, and noting an increasing demand for portion control packaging, Sanders decided to develop the Mini Bumpy™ Cake.

“Many of our shoppers expressed that they often wait for a gathering to enjoy a piece of Bumpy™ Cake in order to avoid eating the entire tray,” said Walter Pilon, Director of Sales – Bakery & Frozen Goods at Sanders and Morley Candy Makers, Inc. “The new Mini Bumpy™ Cake gives people living in smaller households a chance to enjoy a serving of their favorite dessert without having to figure out what to do with leftovers.”

Sanders Mini Bumpy™ Cake still offers the popular combination of devil’s food cake topped with buttercream bumps and chocolate fudge icing. However, the cake is a little more than one-quarter the size of a standard 8”x 8” Bumpy™ Tea Cake. This smaller portioned package has the same high-end design as the standard Bumpy™ Cake line, but it also includes the on-pack tagline “Bumpy™ Cake for two, or more for you. ™”

Sanders Chocolate Fudge Mini Bumpy™ Cake is now available for retail sale along with regular sized Bumpy™ Cakes throughout the United States and at Sanders Chocolate & Ice Cream Shoppes in Michigan. Bumpy™ Cakes can also be ordered at www.sanderscandy.com between October and early spring each year.
